Configuring Email in Outlook Express |
The following series of screen shots show you how to setup an email account in Outlook Express.
This following example uses the email account john@myboro.co.ukFirstly from the Tools menu select Accounts
Now choose Add and Mail
Type in your name (e.g. John Smith) and choose Next >
Enter your MyBoro email address that your setting up (in this example john@myboro.co.uk)
Type in the incoming mail server ( which is mail.myboro.co.uk ) then
enter the outgoing mail server ( this is your ISP's SMTP outgoing server )
(e.g. NTL World's is smtp.ntlworld.com )
Type in the your account name. In this example it is john%myboro.co.uk.
Note: you must type the username (e.g. john) followed by %myboro.co.uk
The password is your email account password. Then choose Next >
Click on Finish. You've done it. Your account is set up.
If you wish to test your account is working simply update your MyBoro details by changing your contact email to your new MyBoro email address. This will automatically trigger an email to be sent with a new password.
